Dan Reese: CFP® President & CEO
Daniel A. Reese, CFP® began his career in 1994 working with State Farm Insurance, a Fortune 500 company and leading provider of personal lines insurance in the United States. In 2000, Dan opened his own agency, and in 2003 established his current independent financial planning firm.
Dan received his Bachelor of Science in 1994 from Michigan State University with a focus on economics and statistics. He furthered his education by receiving his Certified Financial Planner certification in 2005.
Dan has been working with families since 2001 developing prudent strategies to achieve long-term financial success. Taking a comprehensive approach, Dan focuses on each of the areas of personal finance including savings plans, investments, cash flow, retirement income planning, taxes, and risk management.
As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), you can be sure that Dan provides expert and professional planning services. To earn the CFP® designation, he had to complete an approved educational program, pass a rigorous examination and meet stringent experience requirements. Dan also adheres to a professional Code of Ethics and he fulfills annual continuing education requirements to remain aware of current planning strategies and financial trends.
Dan and his wife Debbie have three wonderful children, Jack, Andrew and Libby, and live in Jackson, Michigan where he and Debbie both grew up. Dan is active with the Cub Scout program and a member of St. John’s church. During summer, you can often find Dan camping with his family at Lighthouse Village in Homer or Yogi Bear in Fremont, Indiana, or traveling North to Debbie’s family cottage on Marquette Island near Hessel.
Dan is also an avid golfer and enjoys reading. His favorite books include fast paced fiction written by authors such as Web Griffin, Dan Brown, and Michael Crichton, as well as a variety of biographies and historical pieces.
Brent T. Oliver: CFP®
Brent began his career with Avery Wealth, Inc. in 2013. Prior to Avery Wealth, Inc. Brent was in the telecommunications industry where he worked in business development. Since 1998, Brent has owned and operated two successful businesses in the telecommunications industry allowing him to gain business development, marketing, management and customer service expertise.
In 1993, Brent received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. In pursuit of the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, Brent furthered his education at Kaplan University by successfully completing the extensive Financial Planning Education Program. In 2016, Brent completed the rigorous education, examination, experience and ethics requirements and earned the CFP® professional designation.
As a CFP® Professional, Brent helps families and small businesses by providing expert advice and planning services in risk management, investment strategies, tax planning, retirement saving, income planning and estate planning.
Brent and his wife Shannon live in Jackson, Michigan. They have three sons, Easton, Cortland and Isaac and one daughter Isabel. Brent enjoys golf, baseball and swimming. He volunteers as a coach for youth football, basketball and baseball.
Amy Mullins-Rodgers: Client Relationship Manager
Amy Mullins-Rodgers joined Avery Wealth, Inc in October 2015 as the Client Relationship Manager. She brings her high level of dedicated customer service and drive to ensure smooth operations. Prior to working at Avery Wealth, Inc., Amy has experience in people management skills, wealth management customer service, and the health care industry.
Amy’s unique and wide-ranging skill set has enabled her to successfully contribute in a variety of roles, including client service management, marketing services, and project planning and management.Amy is an active volunteer in the Jackson community. For the past four-years, she has served as a member on the Jackson County Rose Festival Board of Directors and as Director of the Picnic in the Park. Amy is also a participating member of the Women's Leadership Council of United Way, and the Jackson’s Alzheimer’s Walk.
Amy is married to Mike Rodgers with two boys. A resident of Jackson County since 1999, she graduated from Jackson Community College, Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society and will complete her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management at Spring Arbor University in December of 2015.In her free time, Amy enjoys cooking, gardening, and enjoying time with family and friends whenever possible.
